Assisted living facilities are NOT long term care facilities or nursing homes. The staff at assisted living facilities are there to ASSIST. If a resident requires more care then they will need a private duty nurse.
Basically staff at the assisted living facility do things like help residents make the bed, provide supervision, assist them with their medications, and other very basic tasks.
Assisted living can be expensive and the cost is usually out of pocket and not covered by insurance.
